The Company


Our client is Australia's leading industrial designer for architects. Working with Australian and international architects, our client has delivered a vast array of projects and their comprehensive design and development service also extends to a range of public art, construction and industrial products. 

The Opportunity


Our client is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their company in Artarmon, NSW, with the potential to earn up to $90,000 per annum | Negotiable salary + Superannuation. 

The primary purpose of this position is to develop automated architectural structures, providing solutions for clients.

Reporting to the Managing Director some of your responsibilities include:


  • Managing leads and assessing project opportunities in consultation with the design team
  • Consulting directly with clients to develop project briefs 
  • Develop project proposals including programs and budgets
  • Manage design projects from concept stage through detailed design, documentation and manufacturing
  • Manage the installation of our products on building sites
  • Research and development activities for internal projects

About You

To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in similar position and have relevant tertiary qualifications.

The ideal candidate must have the following: 

  • Sketching and presentation layout skills
  • CAD skills, 2D and 3D
  • Understanding of 3D forms
  • The ability to interpret product drawings
  • Knowledge of materials and processes
  • Understanding of mechanical/electrical theories
  • Experience in product development process and manufacturing
  • Good time management skills
